ABOUT US
Al Jalil Yoga is an Association for Social Promotion. It was born in 2012 with the aim of promoting the culture, philosophy and the techniques of YOGA and to provide a Yoga Shala, available for all the members in order to practice the Asanas and Meditation. The site can hold events for the promotion of holistic and spiritual disciplines from all over the world, for the creation of a bridge and a dialogue between the western and eastern philosophy, describing the latest scientific discoveries and the ancient holistic disciplines; a bridge between the same disciplines and any religious belief and different traditions, not with the aim of making profit but with the objective to organize events for not only the members, but of course for the local community as well.
Members can use the Shala anytime they want, not only during the courses or lessons, but also to meditate, pray or simply to relax.
Members can use the site of the association to organize meetings, seminars and courses related to the objectives and themes of the same association. The events can be for free or with a donation. They will be advertised and supported in the website, mailing list and social networks of the same association.
Members can read the certificate of incorporation and the statute of the Association on the board a tour site or below on this page.

Svayamsevaka (volunteers)
It is possible to support or association becoming a Svayamsevaka (male volunteer) or Svayamsevika (female volunteer) of the Shala and helping us in our work. The volunteers have free access to the weekly courses of yoga and meditation. We have available positions for the Seva (Service to the community).
Here below, our actual Svayamsevaka and Svayamsevika that we thank a lot for their precious contribution without which we would not be able to creat all this!
Behavior and good manners in the Yoga Shala
A Yoga Shala is a clean room, isolated and silent in which we practice Yoga. It is not a gym, but a place of retreat and meditation where you can find peace, silence and harmony. It is a sacred place like a church or a temple and it must be fully respected.
It is a place charged energetically. The same Guru charges it with her prayers, with her meditations and vibrations of her consciousness. It is important to keep, inside it and in the close by outer space, a respectful and spiritual behavior. It is compulsory to turn off your cellphones or put them in flight mode and not simply silence them, in order to allow everyone to clean themselves from the influence of electronical waves, interfering constantly with our body and thoughts. It is necessary to keep the silence and avoid discussions about job problems, family issues, economic issues, avoid comments and gossip about absent people. The Shala is a place to distance yourself from the external world, where you can find peace and serenity and allow yourself to rest and regenerate not only your body, but mostly your mind and the emotional body.
All the equipment is available for the members and they must be placed in the place and in the same conditions you found them. The plastic bricks and belts must be placed close to the mat, the blankets must be folded for the members practicing after your turn, remembering that the Teacher or Guru is not the one responsible for cleaning. Moreover, for a Karmic law, all the actions come back with the same energy we used to act in the first place. Our behavior in the Shala must be seen as a Karma Yoga: harmony, politeness, order and grace are something we try to learn in the Shala and to bring outside in the society, in the world and in our daily life.
